Julia is a lover of words and connections. To date, her career has evolved through communications roles, museum work, digital marketing and brand strategy, content creation and copywriting freelancing. This path has led to her current role as Marketing and Communications Manager at Meritos. The culmination of more than 15 yearsā€™ experience means she has grown with an industry that is rapidly evolving and influencing people in ways we never imagined.

Juliaā€™s skills range from leading, developing and executing digital marketing and brand strategies, to innovative content creation and producing interesting and inspiring digital stories that really hit the ā€˜feel goodā€™ button. She has worked for local governments and museums across Queensland and New South Wales and spent three years running her own brand and content strategy business.

Julia leads, develops, and implements a results-driven, multiplatform brand, communications, and digital strategy for Meritos. She creates and oversees all communication collateral to ensure the Meritos brand is enhanced and effectively promoted to our target audiences. Julia also executes all online marketing activities, including LinkedIn collateral, social media content, SEO, website content and leads generation. She creates, develops, and implements innovative digital marketing strategies for Meritos’ clients to enhance the marketing of their roles, which generates awareness, conversations, and interest in the marketplace. Julia believes in unleashing the human potential and is very passionate about supporting the Meritos team to place great people in their dream jobs.

Julia is a lifelong learner and recently completed her Masters in Cultural Heritage at Deakin University. She is very passionate about researching, investigating, and discovering long lost stories and connecting them to our present. Julia brings this passion to life through her ongoing volunteering position at Chermside and Districts Historical Society, where she is developing a brand-new website and provides ongoing social media content creation and support. She also has a bachelorā€™s degree in business (Communications) and a bachelorā€™s degree in Journalism from the Queensland University of Technology.
